Terms of Service
nanoGOAT Parent
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the nanoGOAT Parentapplication and related Parent services (collectively, the "Service") provided by nanoGOAT LLC ("nanoGOAT," "we," "us," or "our"), a Colorado limited liability company.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. nanoGOAT AAC is a separate, free app with no accounts and its ownterms. Website account use is described in the Website Terms.
1. Description of Service
nanoGOAT Parent is a companion app for adult caregivers. It is in testing before public release. The tested app includes features such as:
- Child profiles, activities, runs, day logs, journals, and progress you record
- Visual supports, including timers, schedules, first-then boards, and feelings tools
- Optional photos and moment/keepsake content
- Cloud sync of account-backed content across your devices
- In-app settings (including alternate app icons where supported)
- Related website flows (for example account deletion at nanogoat.io)
Features may change over time. Parent is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional advice.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create a Parent account. The Service is intended for adult caregivers, not for children as primary users. You must have authority to provide information about children in your care. Children may use visual-support tools under your supervision; they do not create accounts.
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and notify us of unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users or the Service.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create in Parent (notes, photos, logs). You grant nanoGOAT a limited license to host, store, back up, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. You choose what content to share or export. Recipients may keep copies that account deletion cannot recall. Our Privacy Policy describes retention and deletion.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload content you submit (including photos of children in your care) and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights. Do not upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing material.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt our systems
- Reverse engineer the Service except where permitted by law
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harm others
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
Parent is a subscription app. Beta participation is governed separately by the beta agreement. When subscriptions are available, the purchase screen and app store show the billing period, renewal terms, and any applicable trial or offer before you confirm a purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the store that bills you, subject to the terms shown at purchase. If a trial is offered, review when it ends and cancel before the store's deadline if you do not want it to renew. Manage or cancel throughApple orGoogle Play, as applicable. Refund requests follow the store's process and applicable law.
Deleting your account or uninstalling Parent does not cancel a subscription or automatically issue a refund. Cancel separately in your store account. A Parent subscription is never required to use the free AAC app. These Terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
6. Privacy
Our commitment to your data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information or family content with advertisers, data brokers, or other companies for their own marketing or independent commercial use. Your data is not a product we provide to others.
Service providers may process the information needed to operate, secure, and improve the services you use, as disclosed in the applicable Privacy Policy. We require those providers to limit their use to those services, not their own advertising or independent commercial purposes. We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so or when required by law. These limited purposes do not authorize selling your data.
Our collection and use of personal information is described in theParent Privacy PolicyandParent COPPA Policy.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NANOGOAT DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NANOGOAT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (including viananogoat.io/account/delete). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, subject to applicable law and your mandatory consumer rights. Account deletion does not erase copies already shared with others or automatically cancel store billing. Our Privacy Policy explains separately held analytics and other records. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law rules. Courts in Colorado will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws give you non-waivable rights in your home jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page, with additional notice and consent where required by law. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
